New Year Resolution: Read / Watch more PLM Content
My cube neighbor just shared this statistic with me – 92% of all New Year’s Resolutions fail. Still doesn’t stop me from making them!! One of my main goals this year is to read more – both for personal enjoyment and professional development. Our Autodesk office will be moving downtown soon, so I’m looking forward to getting to read more while commuting via public transportation.
I started the year off cleaning our home office (to make room for another pet!) and came across one of my favorite PLM books, written by Stephen Porter:
It’s been about 5 years since I’ve read it – dusting it off for a reread! (my first fiction book of the year is The Old Man and the Sea).
Want some other professional recommendations? When I help onboard new employees to PLM, I often send them to Oleg Shilovitsky’s online PLM Book. Of course, one of my other resolutions is to improve my health – we have a walking desk here in the office so I’m planning on using that a few times a week when watching webinars. CIM Data has a good series of Educational webinars. Also, I plan on catching some of the Autodesk University classes I missed – here’s a link showing all the Fusion Lifecycle ones from 2017.
Happy New Year all! Looking forward to bringing you more tips, tricks, and general PLM knowledge this year.
